Bringing Beauty Back: Project Update on a Historic Family Home

Our team has been hard at work completing the finishing details on this stunning colonial-style family home, and we’re excited to share the progress. This estate, rich in history and character, is quickly transforming into a polished gem ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

In the living room and bedroom, the decorative beams have been stained, while the rafters with tongue and groove ceilings have been freshly painted, creating a warm yet elegant look.

The tongue and groove work in the bathroom has also been painted and is nearly ready for use, adding timeless detail to the space. Throughout the halls and stairwell, the picture railing and custom chair railing have been painted, bringing definition and charm to the interior.

One of the highlights of this phase has been the stair restoration. Nick carefully recreated spindles to match the original broken ones. All of the spindles were removed so the treads could be stained and repaired, then everything is meticulously being reassembled—honoring the home’s original craftsmanship while giving it new life.

The kitchen and bathroom cabinets are now installed, signaling that the finish line is close. It won’t be long until this beautiful home is fully wrapped up and enjoyed by this lucky family.

It has been a true pleasure for Ray Construction of Marietta to be part of this historic home’s transformation, and we can’t wait to see the family settle in and make new memories here.
